[Case Study of the Introduction of a People Counting System] Ueno Zoo
Presenting a collection of case studies! Ensuring appropriate management of congestion situations and the safety of visitors with real-time crowd data.
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of a visitor count system at Ueno Zoo. Before the implementation, the challenge was that in order to continue the zoo's mission of conveying the importance of wildlife conservation through interactions with animals, it was urgent to create an environment where visitors could enjoy the zoo with peace of mind. After the implementation, it became possible to check the congestion status of the zoo in real-time, which had previously only been ascertainable by walking around the premises. This has greatly assisted in disseminating congestion information via social media and providing guidance to visitors within the zoo. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - Temporary closure due to the impact of a virus that occurred in 2019 - Urgent need to create an environment where visitors can enjoy the zoo with peace of mind ■Reasons for Adoption - The ability to operate a unified system for information across four facilities managed by the association in Tokyo - The ability to grasp the number of people staying in the zoo, which was a significant factor in the decision to adopt *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
